First-Place Prize:

He lives in Chelsea, Michigan along with his companion and their terrier.
Second-Place Prize:
“Dievas X” by DS Sulaitis
“Superbly crafted, ‘Dievas X’ carries a heavy weight of loneliness and isolation in such a brief area,” Hobson writes. “The result’s a heartbreaking collective of reminiscence and the current. I liked it.”
DS Sulaitis‘s fiction has been printed thrice in Boston Evaluate, in addition to different literary journals. She has acquired three New York Basis for the Arts fellowships in fiction and artistic nonfiction, and a beneficiant grant for a novel in progress from the Elizabeth George Basis.
Brandon Hobson is the creator of the current novel, The Eliminated, The place the Lifeless Sit Speaking, which was a finalist for the Nationwide Guide Award and winner of the Studying the West Award; and different books. His fiction has received a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in The Finest American Brief Tales 2021, McSweeney’s, Conjunctions, NOON, American Brief Fiction, and elsewhere. A recipient of fellowships from the UCROSS Basis and Ragdale, he teaches inventive writing at New Mexico State College and on the Institute of American Indian Arts. Hobson is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation Tribe of Oklahoma.
